Note: Due to COVID19 restrictions, our staff is working remotely. Our Halifax, NS office has recently reopened under stringent physical distancing guidelines. Pending the global health crisis, remote work will be considered for this position with the ideal candidate residing in close proximity to any of our offices to allow for scheduled office visits and in-person meetings.

Job summary

The Project Manager position plays an important role in the success of REIN’s digital insurance programs. The objective of this position is to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of product programs by assisting in the investigation, distillation and organization of product/program requirements, working with internal and external constituent groups to foster effective and efficient work streams, managing timelines, and ensuring that deliverables are tracked, measured, and achieved. This position may also assist in aligning the efforts of REIN’s data team with established products or programs.  The Project Manager will work closely with the REIN product team to learn the details of our products and, with that knowledge, work directly with REIN’s engineers and partners to determine the best path for users.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and track product and program requirements

  • Distill business requirements into epics, user stories, tickets, etc. for development

  • Track, monitor, and shepherd project progress through all stages of the project

  • Track and monitor burn down rates and inform product owners and executive management of project progress, blockers, etc.

  • Review and recommend project resource capacity adjustments as needed based on project tasks and deliverables

  • Monitor and analyze internal processes for refinement

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 5 years of technical project management experience working with development, design, and UX teams

  • Proficiency with Jira preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and well-organized; multi-tasker

  • Ability to think critically, and work both independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent communication skills- both spoken and written. Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical participants.

  • PMP or other project management certification is a plus

  • Previous experience working within the insurance and/or insurtech industry a plus

Compensation

$55,000 - $80,000 per year
