Candidates should be prepared to share examples ofcode they’ve developed and be willing to take a coding test.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable and efficient RoR code

  • Design robust, scalable and secure features

  • Work with US and Canadian teams to ensure delivery of desired functionality

  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle

  • Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring and code standards)

  • Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design

Skills

  • Strong proficiency and working experience (4+ years) in Ruby

  • Fluency in testing frameworks such as RSpec and/or Cucumber

  • Experience working with multiple types of SQL and NoSQL datastores and message busses, including PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ

  • Experience in creating and consuming REST APIs

  • A good understanding of server-side templating languages

  • Good hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools

  • Self-managing, both in motivation and learning

  • Experience working directly with other project stakeholders, such as designers, clients, project managers, and/or product managers

Experience

  • Software Engineering, 3 years (Preferred)

  • Ruby on Rails, 2 years (Preferred)

Compensation

$75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
